フロウティラとは

大村記念微生物資源研究フロウティラはノーベル生理学・医学賞を受賞した大村智先生を中心として2024年に設立された組織です。フロウティラでは世界的に類をみない希少放線菌ライブラリーの活用と北里大学がもつイベルメクチン誘導体研究を展開します。山梨大学に創薬の芽が息吹く要として活動しており、微生物由来の有用抗生物質の探索や、イベルメクチンの新規作用機序を利用した抗がん剤やミクログリア関連の疼痛緩和や神経障害を改善する創薬研究の新展開に挑戦します。共に研究する研究者・学生、そしてそのご支援を歓迎しております。

Flotilla: Ōmura Memorial Research Organization of Microbial Natural Resources was organized in 2024 under the leadership of Dr. Satoshi Ōmura, a Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine. This unique research initiative leverages the University of Yamanashi’s unparalleled library of rare actinomycetes and builds on Kitasato University’s cutting-edge studies on ivermectin derivatives. Here at University of Yamanashi, this organization is a driving force in igniting new possibilities in drug discovery. Our mission is to explore valuable antibiotics from microbial sources, and to pioneer novel therapeutics that harness ivermectin’s innovative mechanisms of action. We are advancing research on next-generation anticancer agents and groundbreaking treatments aimed at alleviating microglia-related pain and improving neurological disorders. We welcome dedicated researchers, students, and supporters to join us in this bold scientific journey.
