放線菌は医薬品を生産する可能性が非常に高く、我々は特に環境中にごく僅かしか存在しない希少放線菌の選択分離法に関する研究開発と創薬資源としての活用を行っています。
Actinomycetes have extraordinary potential to produce valuable pharmaceuticals. Our research focuses on developing selective isolation methods for rare actinomycetes—microorganisms that exist only in trace amounts in the environment—and harnessing them as promising resources for drug discovery.

Structure-Based Drug Design
X線結晶解析は病因タンパク質と薬剤の立体構造を原子レベルで解明し、合理的な創薬を実現します。放線菌由来天然化合物やイベルメクチン誘導体から新薬の開発を目指します。
X-ray crystallography enables us to elucidate the atomic-level three-dimensional structures of disease-related proteins and their interactions with drug candidates, paving the way for rational drug design. Our research aims to develop new therapeutics based on natural compounds derived from actinomycetes and ivermectin derivatives.
イベルメクチン創薬
Ivermectin-Based Drug Discovery
放線菌由来の天然化合物を活用し、脊髄ミクログリアの活性を標的とした次世代慢性疼痛治療薬の開発を目指します。
Our project aims to develop next-generation therapeutics for chronic pain by targeting the activation of spinal microglia. We focus on harnessing natural compounds derived from actinomycetes as promising candidates for novel pain treatments.

Healthcare Products Based on Wine Pomace
ワインの醸造過程で得られる果皮や種などのワインパミスを健康食品等に活用し、持続可能社会の実現と私たちの健康維持に貢献します。
This project explores the use of wine pomace—grape skins, seeds, and other by-products from the winemaking process—as ingredients for healthy foods and related products. Our goal is to contribute to both human health and the realization of a sustainable society.
